Happy Father's Day

This was one of the two photos my sister gave my dad for Father's Day.  And yes that's camouflage she's wearing.  Mossy Oak to be exact, in case you were wondering.  The Tiny Terrorist was in a great mood today, until about 2pm.  Then the crabbies started in again.  I think she may have caught the cold I had, and for that I feel awful.  I sincerely hope she didn't, it's gonna be a long week for my sis if she has it.

Today we had lunch at my sister's house, for which I was 30 min late with the food.  We ordered take our from Famous Dave's.  No problem for me to pick it up normally, what we did not plan for was some stupid bicycle race to be in Stillwater and for it to take me 25 min to travel 1.5 miles.  Oh the joys of living on a border town with a 2 lane draw bridge.

When I arrived to lunch.  I promptly gave my dad his gifts, he said thank you and that was the end of our exchange.  He didn't say more than 10 words to me the rest of the day.  It's all about the grandbaby.  I shouldn't be too surprised but if I added right it's been 3 months since he's seen me.  Oh well, just another story to add to the long list of my daddy issues.  At this age I guess I really don't care anymore. I've given up expecting anything from him and his approval certainly doesn't change how I live my life.

Tonight I decided to be smart and make some food for the week.  I made buffalo chicken salad, egg salad and butterscotch banana bread.  I got all the recipes off Pinterest and so far the only one I've tasted is the buffalo chicken salad.  It's amazing!  I would highly recommend it.  It's 1 part bleu cheese dressing to 3/4 part hot sauce, celery, chicken and noodles.  I halved the recipe as I'm just one person eating it.  The original said to add onion, which I dislike, instead I added leftover feta!  MORE CHEESE is always good.  I think mine might be a bit spicy so I might add mayo to cut it down a bit.
