• I cannot express my love for my new furniture.  It's all squishy and supportive and my house kinda smells like a new car and I'm ok with that.  Did I mention the couch has vibration, cause yeah . . .
• I'm going to take out the black bookcase and obvs the old TV stand is going on Craig's List next week.  I need to add some very small side table too.  It's a little odd not having a giant ottoman to put things on, but the built in cup holders are a nice touch!
• I'm heading back to work tomorrow and I'm so not jazzed.  Water back up claims in the Twin Cities, 2 of my least favorite claim requirements.  I'll have most of them done by Saturday night and I really hope they don't have more for me next week.  I'm happy to get the OT with mother's day, my mom's birthday and my man's birthday all in 7 days!
• My man has been just the best lately.  We've spent more time together than apart and I love every second of it.  He has 1 more final tomorrow and then no school for 3 months!  I'm so looking forward to us having a little freedom.
• Now it's time for bed.  All the dreary weather here really has me feeling blah and extra sleepy.

It's Gone

• Put my couch on Craig's List at 9pm last night, sold it at 12:30pm today.  I'm sure this isn't record breaking or anything, but for my first go it was awesome!  It's gonna be a 5 day picnic at my casa
• I bought a super nice chair and matching ottoman today.  I cannot wait for it all to be delivered and start fresh in my home.  
• I'm debating about buying some paint and just getting done while it's empty in here.  My rooms are large and ceilings vaulted, but I think I could manage it.  Might get some samples on my way home, or just search pinterest :)
• I'm having a Real Housewives marathon tonight.  I'm behind a LOT of episodes!  I don't make my man watch it, so it's time to play catch up.  Plus I need a break from Sons, I've had some bad bad dreams because of it.

Out with the old, in with the new

Old Couch OUT!

• I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my new couch.  I didn't get the configuration I had originally planned on, but I like what I got.  Now I'm on the hunt for an oversized chair and ottoman.
• I had an amazing Easter with my man.  We did a lot of cleaning, enjoyed a fantastic dinner and had mind blowing sex.  Yep I said it because it's true.  We are so in tune with each other, and even after 5 days we weren't sick of each other!
• I cannot believe the amount of feels I've been dealing with.  I never ever thought I'd be this girl all head over heels for someone.  I'm actually planning a future and considering how he and I fit in the changes that are coming my way.  It's just so weird to be in this place, but it's exciting too.
• I spent some quality time with my mom tonight and I can tell that really made her feel good.  Trying to balance work, my man, friends and family is becoming really difficult.  I want everything to be with my man but I can't forget everyone who cheered me on to get to him.
• I've been put in charge of a gift for my mom's bday from my sis and I.  I want to get something nice since it's her big 6-0!  I'm leaning towards sentimental but maybe not.  Jewels are always nice too.
• And 1 last thing, I had the craziest dream about stealing a school bus last night.  I woke up standing at the window in my man's bedroom.  I know the train was going by and blowing it's whistle, but I think I was dreaming it was sirens.  The whole thing is very confusing and I blame watching too much Sons of Anarchy.  I'm taking a break from it tonight because it's best watched with my man when I can bury my face in his arms.

Today should go down in history as the best day ever.  "I love you's" were exchanged this morning and it's possibly the best feeling ever!  I've never ever said it to anyone who's not immediately family or part of the Rhoads/Choudrhy clan.  So big steps taken here and it's lovely.  I wish we had spent the day together, but his familial duties called.  I know tonight will be heaven!  Tomorrow I'm shirking my familial duties and spending more time with my man.  We'll both likely work and then take Monday as some comp time.  Sometimes being an adult isn't so bad.

I spent the morning cleaning my man's house.  He hates when I do it, but I know it's a stress relief to him and honestly it's good for me too.  I made an epic trip to Target and organized his house just a little bit more.  I know he's gonna yell at me, but who cares.  It feels good to me knowing everything is all organized and put away.  Plus when I do clean, it makes my job easier.

I'm at home for the time being and all I've done is organize here too.  I'm doing some weird spring cleaning/nesting thing.  I've been working on getting my nail polishes all re-swatched and I made a small dent in that today.  Plus I've got re-did my mani and am in love with my choices.  Oh how I've missed wearing my regular polishes.  Gels can be so limited.

I should be gathering up ingredients for tomorrow.  I'm making us an egg bake for brunch and then we're having steaks for dinner.  One minor problem is that I couldn't find any hash browns at 2 stores.  I've got one more to stop at on my way home, so here's hoping.  If not I can always improvise.  It's not like my man minds, he's just happy to have someone who can cook!

WORK it Boo!

• I'm exhausted, working a condo policy is so hard!  Hoping to finish inspects tomorrow, turn it over to Gina on Thursday and heading back home Thursday afternoon.  I am ready to be back to my peeps.
• I'm having a really hard time coping with being gone from my man and he's not helping at all.  I need him to be as attentive when I'm gone as when I'm home.  He doesn't seem to be grasping this concept, possibly a little out of sight out of mind going on.
• Boo got potty trained this weekend, girl nailed it in one day.  She's all about poopies and byeee pees, see ya latah.  She's adorbs.
• I miss all my kids so much!  I need to get on seeing all of them ASAP.
• Now it's almost Mindy Project time.  Oh I love me some Mindy.

Waterfall in my hotel

• I took a slight detour today to go out to Mount Rushmore.  It was totally worth the 20 min drive.  Plus I got to clear my head which always helps.
• The waterfall in my hotel has attracted a lot of prom goers.  So cute, and such beautiful dresses, nothing like when I went to prom.
• The end of my week has flown by and that's likely a good thing.
• My boss still hasn't decided what to do, so I'm going to stay out here and help work a big condo loss.  Might as well just do a bang up job and leave with nothing but positive feedback.
• I should be home end of the week and I'm hoping for a whole date day with my man.  We both need and deserve it.  He's working again this weekend, and I know it's not easy for him.
• I've become obsessed with Sons of Anarchy.  I'm going to finish season 2 tonight and I know I'll blow through season 3 tomorrow.  This show is addictive!
• Time for me to make my nest in bed and order a pizza.  My ass isn't going anywhere any time soon!

Cupcakes make it Better

• Cannoli cupcake, and man oh man it was delish!  Likely some of the best white cake I've ever had.  Amazing job Smallcakes.  I've got a red velvet to try too.  That's my standard msmt of cupcake tasting.
• Work is not what I was expecting and I hope to be out of here by the weekend.  The amount to be done is much less than I expected and the rep I'm covering for is going to be out for a while. My boss really jacked this one up and I've made sure he knew it.  I'm going to be a little cut throat with him until he gets his shit together.  This is just another tally mark on my wall of screwed up didn't think it through send my people out wherever because I'm too lazy to work it all out properly
• The highlight of today will be going to get my toes done later.  It's been a month and they look rough.  Plus tomorrow starts hail inspects and they'll be jammed into the tops of my shoes all day.  Long toenails do not help this!
• I slept so well last night.  I think my man's snoring is waking me up more than I know.  I need to get him wearing his c-pap even when I'm there.  I do NOT handle no sleep.

• Had family dinner last night and it was great.  Boo was so excited Aunt Bibby came over.  If she couldn't see me she'd yell "Where my Bibby go?"  We had lots of fun.  My favorite was when she ate some spicy sausage by accident and tried to wipe it off her tongue.  Love that kiddo
• My drive to SD today was brutal.  I'm so tired I kept nodding off and that's so not like me.  I made it in one piece and am all tucked in.  I found out that this side of the state is on mountain so I'll be going to bed at 9pm and I'm ok with that.
• My hotel is pretty nice just a bit of a crappy downtown location.  I saw a new Holiday Inn by the office and the mall, but it's being renovated and isn't open.  On the plus side I have room service here and I found Starbucks, Qdoba and a cupcake place all in a row in a strip mall.  WINNING!
• I'm sure I should be typing more but my brain is mush.  Up at 6:30 so I could get my van unlocked.  That's right locked it with the keys inside last night.  Saturday a guy my man was interviewing as a potential roommate called at 7:45 to confirm something sent via text.  Um hello numb nuts!  That being said I'm going to bed at 8:30 and I'm not ashamed.

• This week was crazy busy.  We got a bunch of snow last night and I spent a lot of time with my man.  So boo snow, yay time with my honey.
• I've done so much laundry for my man, but for the first time in our relationship it's all done and he cannot use it as an excuse!
• work was insane and now I'm going to Rapid City, SD on Sunday.  Should be 2 weeks but I'm not sure if it'll be more or less.  I can be quite a machine when I'm working and hammer out some inspects.  I need to be a rockstar with everything this year.
• I realized on Wednesday evening that I much prefer housework and making my man happy than working.  It's sad, but I'm over being yelled at and people being fake nice.  I'd rather make my man genuinely happy and have amazing thank you sex
• Today has been a near perfect day of us working from home.  I'm all done now and he's still going strong.  His job is stupid and has a ridiculous weekend contingency plan set up.  At least I got a nooner in today.  Gotta take as much as I can get before I leave!
