Freaking out Friday

Someone has a tooth
(it's on top so you can't see it, sneaky little tooth)

So I'm in NY, although according to the map it might as well be CT.  I ended up coming out here as part of my new job.  So I spend a week out here in the old job and then probably another week in the new job and way more money!!  The thing that kills me is I've had over 8 people call and ask me for help already.  Yet I wasn't good enough to be a trainer.  Several people have said they don't even know who the trainers in the office are.  This is gonna be tough, I can already tell.  And here's the other kicker, we are over an hour away from the office!  I have to report at 7am and need coffee before hand.  Man 4am is not an ideal wake up time for me.  So I'm off to bed, and I'm sure with many more adventures to share after tomorrow.

Worrying Wednesday

Someone's personalized gift bag for Santa presents

The same someone jamming out to Charlie Brown Christmas

Today was a bit nervewracking.  I started out with a normal conference call and then got a deployment email.  I was afraid this would happen.  I called my boss and we called some other people and got no answers.  I ran some errands, still no call backs.  Sooooo I resorted to email, deployment canceled.  Whew!  I was quite nervous I'd have to pack it all back up and drive out to work for 3 days!  Now this evening my new boss sent out an email asking if we'd volunteer for a 30 day commitment.  I'd totally go but with my job title swapping in the middle he doesn't think it's possible.  I'm ok with that too.

So here's the deal, apparently the Gov of NY threw down the law and did not extend inspection times.   Sooooo my company has roughly 60,000 claims filed in NY most have to be paid by Dec 16.  This is a huge task as not too many are closed right now, even though it's a month in.  Our centralized environments, particularly the one in MD, have send almost 50% of their staff.  They finally called in zone help which is where my new job comes in.  I've been speculating why the Gov would do this, but I think it's in part to take the heat off the gas and electric companies and their poor responses.  Make someone else look like a bad guy.  Either way I think I'm still safe from going.  Yay me!  Plus NY is where my ex is and I'm not really fond of going anywhere near him.

Tonight is all about good TV.  Charlie Brown Christmas, Modern Family and Nashville!

Terrific Tuesday

I am pretty sure I made ever single one of those statements last night to Clint.  Funny how you find something that properly sums up a whole phone call.

Today I started the day with a conf call and then busted my butt until 1pm on getting my chore list finished.  I still have a couple to go, but tomorrow will start the same way and here's hoping I have the energy to finish up my tasks and then start on a whole new set.

My attorney called this afternoon and my arb has been all decided.  It was favorable and I could not be any happier.  It's higher than I expected and cannot wait to start paying off my debts.  I will no longer have to worry about taking my new job and not having enough money for the next couple months.  It's like everything just fell into place and I have a huge huge huge weight lifted off my shoulders.  I am so happy that yesterday will be the last time I ever have to tell the story of my accident, of a year of pain, a horrible surgery and the diagnosis of arthritis at age 30.

Tonight it's nothing but happy thoughts and funny TV.  I love New Girl and the Mindy Project.  I can related a little too well to Mindy!

Monday Suckday

No so magical Christmas time

My arb was a bust.  They should decide by Friday but my attorney is already planning on appealing.  The opposing attorney is an idiot who represents a portion of the company I work for.  Just such a lose/lose situation.  I left feeling awful even though my attorney assured me it went well.

After that debacle I went to see the Best Friend and her babies.  They always cheer me up even though I was competing with Dora.  Danyal proclaimed he was Batman, cause that's what jammies he was wearing.  And Sara was a pretty cute Dora and she sang me the map/backpack song.  Then it was dinner time and Chino Latino hit the spot.  I had one of the best mojitos ever!

During the course of dinner we talked about everything, like we always do.  It was very refreshing and just what I needed after a very long day.  When I left her house I talked to Clint and we talked about everything and anything as well.  It does my heart well to talk like that with very wonderful friends.  They both offer me such different perspectives but I always always know they have my best interest at heart.  I definitely needed an evening like I had.  I know the rest of the week will be awesome.

Sunday Chore Day

My little dancing machine

Holiday mantel with and without flash

What a busy day.  I couldn't tell you all I did but I know that my house is all cleaned up, my dining table is cleared, my white board is full of chores and my office is a mess!  I only have 2 weeks left before I start the new job and my to-do list is chock full!  I wish I had tomorrow to myself to get things done, instead I'll spend all day downtown at my arb.  Here's hoping it results in a final settlement that I agree with.

Tonight is football time, shame it's not been that great of a game.  Really hoping this halftime can turn the boys around!  I don't think their Movember Mustaches are as lucky as they were last year.  Although I do find my QB BF super cute in his creeper 'stache.

Small Business Saturday

Today Sissy and I went out shopping to support our local communities.  It's become a tradition for me and I love seeing what people have to offer.  I didn't purchase much this year, but I didn't find much that struck my fancy.  We did have a lovely meal at a local restaurant Agave Kitchen and I purchased cheese and caramel corn mixed popcorn at Candyland.  This is hands down my most guilty pleasure and they've opened a lovely shop just across the river.  Now only 2 more weeks to wait for the bridge to reopen and it's a short 13 miles to my favorite treats.

I find myself talking about Clint a lot lately.  My whole resolve to stop talking to him has not gone well.  It's like he knows and is purposefully calling me ALL.THE.TIME!  I love being able to help him with work and be his shoulder to whine on because I get it.  I'm the only one in his life who gets it and I so wish I'd had someone like me when I started to talk to.  It's just tough to separate work/personal with him.  Work is very easy for me to keep detached, but personal, well that's where emotions and feelings come in.  I don't deal well with them, nor do I want to deal with them.  I honestly thought I'd be better at figuring things out by this point in my life.  Instead I'm still muddling my way through consistently making mistakes over and over.  I do feel like I'm finally learning from them, but sometimes it's too late.

Black Friday

This year's Christmas Tree!
All sparkle, glitter and feathers!!

New hair!  Darkest it's been in a couple years.

Today officially marks the start of Christmas!  I pulled out all my decor, sorted out almost 1/3 of it that I no longer want.  After that I decorated the Sparkle tree, put out my Little People Nativity and Santa's Cottage and sorted out some more things.  I still have about 60% to get done, I have to finish my mantel, my hutch and the kitchen.  This is where I have a majority of my stuff stored and just loathe digging it all out.  BUT I love the final affect, and I really need my sis's helping staging it all.  She has a much better eye than I do.

This evening I got my hair done and it looks so good.  It's been a couple months since I went in and it's as close to my natural color as it can be.  I haven't been this dark in a couple years because I always work down south and it fades out super fast.  My stylist and I had had our normal inappropriate conversations.  It's even more fun now that he's going to be single soon.  He and his wife decided to amicably get divorced and they've never been happier.  I feel bad he's divorcing, but he truly seems happy with his decision.

As I was driving downtown I passed several of the lottery signs.  I was unaware how large the PowerBall is, $325 million!!!  You bet I bought a ticket.  I was texting Clint and told him if I win I'll accept applications for a Sugar Baby.  He's game and said he promises to listen to me if I hire him on.  I think I'd like having my own personal Bitch/Boytoy around all the time.  Here's hoping the ticket I bought it a winner.  Even $100,000 would be good for me.  Shoot $100 would be good!

Happy thoughts out to the universe that this continues my year of a fiscal winning!

Thanksgiving Eve

Chivalry is not dead to me.

And I really do suck at fishing

Today was kind of a suck day.  I spent more time in traffic than doing anything else.  I had to see my attorney this afternoon to be prepped for my arbitration on Monday.  I have to be back on Monday at 10:30 am for my 1pm arb.  Here's hoping it all goes well and is finally all over.  Yesterday marked 7 yrs since the accident and I'm ready to put it all behind me.  It's amazing how angry I still get over this set of circumstances.  It really was life changing, both good and bad.

After I struggled through traffic I had to stop at Best Buy to recycle some TV's.  There were 6 tents and 4 chairs already in line.  I honestly cannot think of 1 thing in life I would be wiling to give up several days of my life to have.  I take for granted how blessed I am to not ever need or want for anything in my life.  The thought of having to shop on Black Friday in order to give my family a good Christmas just makes me sad.  I never want to live that kind of life.

I went to Target this evening as well and spent a small fortune on lights, less than I thought I would, but it was still pricey.  I think that might be all I buy related to Christmas this year.  I can actually plan to buy things the day after Christmas this year or wait to buy a tree until I have a good coupon or see mark downs.  I still haven't decided what I want, so I might just let it ride another year.  It's not like I won't continue to light up my house inside and out like a glittery snow globe!

Wins and Fails

Todays Wins
~Anytime I see FML this is what I'm going to think
~I measured all my windows and doors today so my house will officially look like a gingerbread house this year
~I hung up a couple sets of lights
~I made these trees, small tomato cages with 2 sets of 15lf lights, and some zip ties.

~I made a delicious dinner tonight, kielbasa and saurkraut and mashed potatoes.  It's been 4 hours since I ate and I still want more
~I finally responded to some work crap.  Mainly about turning in equipment and my van.  BLECH

FAILS
~quitting cold turkey on talking to Clint.  I've stopped texting him first, but we've probably talked for over 2 hours today.  Tonight it was 1.5 hrs and the first 45 min were about work, the second were about each other.  It's never a one way conversation with him and I honestly talk to him just like I talk to The Best Friend.  There's nothing off limits and I want to share things with him, and he, I think, feels the same about me.  This whole thing keeps getting more and more comfortable yet it draws me into over thinking.  I keep reminding myself that he's a man-whore whose penis is likely to fall off and that seems to keep my attraction to him at bay.
~I did not sort out my Christmas decor.  I've decided to wait until Thursday
~My mom and sister both left work early today puking.  This is not good and I may be forced to handle Thanksgiving.  I really hope not.  It's not my forte.

Tonight is all about watching my shows that I missed while gabby with my boy BFF and working on my crocheting.  I dug out a project I started a year ago.  New goal is to be done by the New Year.

More than I expected

Just cause she's that cute

Today I finally logged into my work computer, only 63 unread messages, most of which were birthday wishes and congrats on my new job.  Then I went to the ortho and dang, that was not a pleasant surprise.  Double chains and new wires, I can barely eat soup.  WAH!  This better be gone by Thursday, my sis emailed me the menu and dang it's gonna be yummy.  We aren't a same old same old family and her new ideas sound great.

This evening I finally cleaned out my work van and piled it up in a corner.  Not too sure how much I'll need it once I start.  I hope I don't travel too much in my first year.  I also pulled out my Christmas lights.  Tomorrow's supposed to be chilly but 60 on Wednesday seems like perfect weather to get them all hung up.  I'm having a very hard time resisting the urge to just put it all up and be full on holiday!  It also dawned on me that I don't have to have a fake tree this year.  I could put up a real one!  I haven't done that in 9 years, maybe even longer.  I still think I want a fake one, I hate putting on lights.  I really want this one from Restoration Hardware.

I don't have a bunch of traditional ornaments.  I'm much more into ornate shiny sparkly glitter based trinkets.  I actually have a silver wire ornament hanger tree thingy that I normally put up.  And this year that might be all I put up.  Gotta save my pennies and a tree just doesn't seem like a necessary purchase this year.  I'm also going to start from scratch on what I want my decor to be, during the after Christmas sales.  I'm goodwilling all 3 trees (pink white and purple) I have and a bunch of misc things I don't love.  I'm following the mantra of having only things I love up in my home.  Makes decorating so much easier, and much more authentically me.  I think it's going to be white grey silver and sparkle!  So classic and clean to me.

Kinda wishing I'd brought in my tubs so I could be sorting while watching football.  It's ok though, I'll just keep watching yummy line backers hit people.

I'd be a good wife

Tonight's sunset out my patio window

My First attempt at homemade mac n cheese

Today I'd classify my day as very wifey.  I cooked, cleaned and baked.  I also watched football, but that's cause I'm a crazy fan and my husband would have to understand that.

I've had a really hard time not texting Clint today, but quitting him cold turkey is the best way for me.  I've also had to google some things that I didn't understand being called during the games I watched.  He's quite handy to have around sometimes.

Today I've thought quite a bit about my relationship with food.  Simply put it's horrible.  I never really acknowledged how bad it had gotten until vacation when my sister was asking to eat and it had never crossed my mind.  She's just as screwed up as me, but at least she knows to eat several times a day, not just once late at night.  So my goal between now and the New Year isn't necessarily to diet, but to focus on getting in 3 meals a day and drink 64 oz of water daily.  This is already proving to be a problem as I wake up at 9 but I'm not hungry until noon.  I get up, have my coffee, watch some shows then make lunch.  Sooooo I think I have to force myself to eat ASAP.  Maybe I'll focus on cereal as I currently have 3 boxes in my cupboard.  I love me some peanut butter cheerios.

Now it's time for some Real Housewives, I LOVE me some ATL biznatches!

It's nice to be home and somewhat normal

Today was a pretty simple day.  Spent the morning watching the DVR then shopped with my sis and had a nice family dinner at her house.  Got to hear all about the days hunting/lack of seeing any deer.  I'm pretty sure sis and I saw more being tagged at gas stations than dad and the bro-in-law saw all day in their stands.

I feel like this quote sums up all of my male friendships/relationships/booty calls/bed partners for the last 4 years.  I really need to work on new habits and letting go of the past.  Right now I need to focus on moving forward.  I told my sister today that maybe she and the Best Friend should be in charge of creating my dating website account.  They both have healthy happy marriages and I want the same.  I clearly can't pick what's good for me.

She's training to be a bartender.

Recovery Friday

This might be why America is fat

Um Auntie you were not supposed to see me eating this paper

PAPER!!!!

Today was a somewhat lazy day.  I was up at a decent hour, but decided to enjoy some TV, coffee, and magazines.  Once I was motivated I headed out to do a little shopping.  I bought my bro in law a birthday gift at Gander Mtn.  While I was there they announced they no longer had paper to print out WI licenses for deer hunting tomorrow.  About half the store cleared out once that announcement was made.  That was some really poor planning on their part, or a bunch of people really procrastinated.

After that I headed out to Michaels.  Now it's no secret I love crafts and Michaels is slowly winning me over from Joanns.  Joanns is normally such a hot mess and full of lines of people waiting for the fabric counter that I get annoyed and leave.  Their coupons are the only thing that keep me going back in, but nowadays you rarely get to use them.  Anyways, back to Michaels, it's full on Christmas and it makes me sooooo happy.  I went in to get some supplies for my new favorite gift EVER.  My sister bought me a Smash book.  It's a journal of sorts, but you put in photos and whatever you want.  I haven't done a page yet, but I'm obsessed.  I bought a ton of stuff today and it's next on my nightly to do list.  I've decided to start with my birthday and work forward!

I also need to note that today is was announced Hostess is closing down.  Sadness, but I'm more of a Little Debbie girl.  I'm curious if some millionaire won't sweep in and save the name.

Now it's Smashing time!  I promise to try and share some of my pages.  I think it's gonna be awesome.

I'm Back

My trip to Key West was a success.  I had a good time, drank many fruity frosty drinks, had some great food, excellent people watching and got some sun.  Overall a good time.  I have learned a few things about traveling with others that I really take for granted:
~unlike myself other people want to eat more than once a day.  And Starbucks isn't a meal to them either
~I never have to pee, ever
~I hate deciding everything for everybody.  I know you have opinion, please speak up or don't complain about what I pick (thankfully no one complained)
~I sleep late and stay up late, sunrise is for the birds

I really liked where we stayed and what we did, but I'm not sure I would go back.  It was fun, but definitely a drinking vacation and I was with people who don't drink all that much.  There were numerous touristy things to do, but I'm not huge into planning a bunch of activities.  I go with the flow and spontaneously do what I want.  I think it's why I've prefered Vegas.  It's all entertainment all the time.  It's not warm enough to lay out in November so we eat, drink and gamble.  No schedules unless we choose to go to a show and that can totally be a last minute decision.  Overall it was a good time and a big thank you to my mom, sissy and Sue-Bee for coming with.  You made turning 35 painless.

Some Festivities

  Yes I am that evil!

Today was a very trying day for me.  All I wanted to do was hide under the covers and go back to sleep.  Instead I forced myself up at 9am and finished laundry, cleaned up the house, cleaned out the DVR, showered, got my eyebrows done, and completed my very large expense sheet.

After all that I went to my sis's for a lovely family birthday party.  It's simply amazing to me how much BooBoo has grown in 17 days.  She waves, one for hi and one for bye, she has her own hand sign for all done or at least we think that's what she means, she gives kisses when asked for and can high 5.  I wanted to put up the photo of her and I blowing out my candles but it's on their camera.  She's also a great help at opening presents.  She mainly likes to chew on the envelopes my cards came in.

Now I'm home and trying to download my first rented movie onto my ipad.  Who knew it took forever!!!  I really want to crawl into bed and watch some Trueblood, but if I do I'll never get back out to sync my machines and make this happen.

Today it really started to set in that I'm home!  I don't have to leave, I don't have to rush everything into the next 10 days so I'm ready to go again.  I can make a Dr's appt like a normal person, and set appts in advance.  It's the little things that can mean so much.  I'm also avoiding dealing with anything that seems responsible.  I put off packing until an hour ago, I have no clue how much money is in my checking acct nor will I check before I leave, and I haven't checked in for my flight.  Probably won't do that until I get to the airport tomorrow.  All of these things are very unlike me, but I'm so tired I just don't care.  It'll all work itself out next week or maybe next weekend when I get paid again and have energy to do something.

I blame my lack of energy and motivation on Clint.  It's not directly his fault but I keep having this weird dream where he's staying in an RV park and people hear us having sex.  Then I have to sneak out and after I do all the RV roofs collapse due to snow and I can't help him.  It's just so weird and a modge podge of everything I'm feeling.  I really just want to get drunk for 4 days and not think of anything but sunshine!  Here's hoping I can and do over the next 4 days.

Oh and don't be surprised if I don't post, or it's photos only.  I'm taking my ipad and phone only and they don't have the best connections.

Home Sweet Home

Making Auntie's Birthday Cake

My sweet lil buddies!

Today was a quick 6 hour drive home.  I spent most of it fighting between my head and my heart and how I feel about Clint.  I have to constantly remind myself that we both have deal breakers and it just won't work.  He will always be my work husband and my friend with benefits.  Nothing more nothing less.  Tonight we've been crossing the line between both.  He's finally got work to do so I was worried that I hadn't heard from him all day.  No worries though, we've talked twice tonight and he's perfectly fine.  A little mad, but that's the nature of our job.  They constantly change the rules and how they want things done.  Nothing is consistent and he's slowly learning that.

The rest of the day was spent unpacking and trying to keep my house in order.  I had a ton of emails to answer as well, they announced my new position today and I've been getting well wishes from everyone!  It's exciting to know my next chapter is starting, but a bit sad at how many friends I'm leaving behind.  I keep thinking that the cream will rise to the top and I'll see how many are true friends and work to keep in touch.  Now it's time to watch more bride shows and go enjoy my comfy bed.  Last night's hotel room was less than stellar and I should have kept driving considering how little sleep I got.

Not Appropriate

Today was a very boring drive through very boring states.  I have nothing much to say today.  Most of my day was spent thinking very, very dirty things.  Clint and I had a convo this morning about customers being attracted to us as we do our job, or flirting, or making passes etc.  So it turned into us thinking we should make porn based on our job, and, well, that pretty much absorbed my thought process for the rest of the day.

Wonderful Wednesday

Judgey Baby Judges your Crocs

They really are Toddler Zombies

Today did not turned out as planned and that's ok.  I was woken up by Faye bringing back my nail stuffs.  I fell asleep after my alarm went off at 7am.  Ooopsies!  Then Clint came over and we worked on his estimate for a couple hours.  After he left I did a little shopping and talked to my new boss.  Then had a conference call with the new team, did laundry, and finished packing up.  Now I've eaten a massive meal and am in a food coma!

Oh yeah, I can finally say I got the new job!  I'm going to be home a lot more and am sooo happy.  I had the realization that I actually wanted this job and not the trainer one over the weekend.  I was talking to Clint and it became perfectly clear I am done with this lifestyle and ready to be normal.  I'm so excited, best part is my first week on the new job is a team meeting at home and I'm going to try and coordinate some really fun things for us to do.  I did also realize how much it's going to affect my paycheck, but I know I'll be spending less money being home.  AND I have great friends and family who will help bail me out if I need it.

While I was on my conference call I started talking to H.  Figured I'd let him know about the new job and man did he trump me on news.  First he's done in OK at the end of the month, 2nd he's moving KC, KS to work in Dec., 3rd he's "dating" 5 women.  Um can we say hypocrite.  This is the same man who made me cry in his truck last winter and made me feel awful for being who I am and knowing what I wanted from men.  Who told me I should wait for love and not sleep with everyone I want.  I just can't get over him, what a liar.  I have to admit that I'm super hurt by the whole thing.

What I didn't expect to come out of that conversation was me realizing how much I appreciate Clint.  For a while I thought he was the bad guy and behaving badly, when in reality he was being much more up front and honest with me.  I'm sure he's lied to me, but at least he's better about hiding it.  AND he's not near as judgemental about my lifestyle choices.  Then again they mimic his choices, so it's a win/win.

I talked to Sue-bee about the whole thing and she made an excellent point.  H kept me totally wrapped up in him the whole time we were in Dallas.  Looking back it's as if he knew that Clint was his competition.  Funny how he was right and I have "chosen" Clint.  I chose the one who fit my life and what I need.  As I predicted before, H and I keep slipping farther apart from each other and now he's really put a wedge between us.  Clint and I just keep getting closer and building a stronger friendship.  I find it fascinating how everyone we meet has a reason and purpose in our lives.  I'm so happy I've figured these 2 out, for the time being.

Election Night

baby in a tub, just cute!

Toddler Rastafarian or a pumpkafarian

Today was a good day.  Got some work stuffs done and feel accomplished for the first time in a long time.  I have nothing to do tomorrow but pack, shop and do laundry.  I might get lunch in with Clint since I can't go out with him on his claim anymore.  I understand he's not the same work group as me right now, but it stinks we can't cross over and help each other.  I really hope someone goes with him on this claim, it's not his expertise and I've handled more than I can count.

The rest of today was pretty boring.  I looked up the outlet mall and they have a Restoration Hardware. I'm hoping and praying they have my colors!  I really am going for broke in there.  Spending every cent of my per diem for the next week ;)  I also have a Hobby Lobby about .5 miles from my hotel.  I'll be going over and looking at Christmas Stuffs.  I want to get BooBoo some 1st Christmas ornaments and build up my collection of sparkle ornaments.  I think I've finally come to my theme.  Getting a new fancy tree from Restoration and then all glittery sparkly ornaments.  Really on the modern side and very little color.  I just love blingy sparkley Christmas stuffs!  My house will be a glitter haven in 20 days.  That tree is going up Thanksgiving night!

2 more sleeps in MD
1 sleep in IL as I travel home
2 sleeps in WI before I go to FL

Playing Catch Up

So much cute in a bunny hoodie

Multi-tasking

I wuv you Elmo

All 3 of these children have developed the biggest cheeks I have ever seen on them.  I cannot wait to get home and smoosh all their faces!!

Saturday was a rough day, lots of driving and packing and unpacking and general work bullshit.  I was so happy to get to Clint's hotel by 7pm and have a beer in my hand at 7:01.  He's the best work hubby a girl could ask for.  We had dinner with Colleen and then had to force ourselves to go out with one of his friends.  Downtown Baltimore, not so much my scene.  Apparently we were in the college part of town and I felt old.  AND the cab fare was redic.  But it was fun to let loose and be with friends.  Oh and the sex is always an added bonus.  At least it was guilt free for both of us this time around.  I love him being single.

Yesterday was such a waste of a day for both of us.  We didn't get up until noon and that's because I forced myself to get up and watch the football pre-show.  Then we watched the games, had a frozen pizza and just generally laid around.  Finally about 4 we decided to start drinking again.  Which meant I stayed the night, again.  So we drank, watched more football and drank some more.  Last night was possibly the worst night of sleep ever.  Even worse than when he had the full size bed.  This time, in a king, he still manages to be on my pillow with his arm in my back!  How, seriously, how does this happen.

I got up early this morning to get back to my hotel and get ready for my day.  As I was leaving I asked how he slept and in his boyish, melt my insides way, he says great, except when you woke me up.  Yeah, I woke him up because he was snoring in my ear.  I'm pretty sure he was trying to suck off my earrings.  Damn he's annoying sometimes.  And that was 1 out of 4 times I made him roll over.  He's fresh as a daisy all day today with nothing to do.  I drive 300 miles, work two claims and am in bed as I type.  He called a while ago and just laughed, he was thinking about going out for the game tonight and I'm wondering what I can eat in bed and if I can stay up to watch my show.  I really think my age is starting to show.

Overall it was a great weekend and just what I needed.  I know everyone's placed in your life for a reason and I love that he's in mine.  I wish he was older and more settled, or a bit more equal to me.  We get along so well and so easily it's scary.  I think what I like best is he won't let me push him around.  I try, I always try, and he always pushes back.  He also tells me know and is never afraid to tell me his opinion.  Some day I'll find my person, and right now I need it to be a mix of Clint and H.  They balance me in such different ways, but can make me so happy with the littlest things.  Somewhere he's out there.

Friday blech blech blech

Just sittin here banging the elephant with a xylephone mallet

Heeeeeyyyy, whatcha doin?

Look, LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS!!!

Today was a just a big old waste.  Got up, did a claim, froze my butt off, went to the office, called my 1 new claim, and have packed and watched Jersey Shore marathon.  Yep that's about it.

At 6pm I realized how horrible looking my toes are.  Then it dawned on me, I will have zero time to get them done before I go to FL next week.  Soooo off to the mall I went.  It was possibly the worst pedi ever.  I think I've said this before about places out here, but this one really might take the cake.  I practically have a bald spot on the ball of one foot, the other doesn't look like she did a thing.  YET, I squirmed in that chair for a good 20 min while she attempted to shave all of my skin off.  I'm super duper ticklish and can normally cope, but tonight she was so random and all over the place I just made her stop.  It so wasn't worth it.  To top it off, I was just inspecting my toes and the clipping off of skin and cuticles was apparently just for show.  GAH!!!  I cannot wait to get home and back to people who know what they are doing.  The two crowning achievements were the upsell for an eyebrow wax and the "massage."  People file complaints all the time in my industry, yet I have no one to complain to about this.  So internet peeps feel my pain and don't go to the mall in Charleston WV to get your toes done.

6 more sleeps to home
9 more sleeps to Florida

All Saints Day

A tutu for all seasons!

the dichotomy of the shoes I bought yesterday

This horsey is broken!

Today was my interview for the job at home.  It was hands down the easiest interview I've ever had in my life!  I was just getting warmed up and it was already over.  I hope I get it.  I'm soooo over my current job. I know a lot of it has to do with me simply checking out, this super storm has me stressed out.  I found out I get to go home before my vacation, however I have to pack up and move to a new hotel up north on Saturday, then work claims Mon-Wed and drive home Thur-Fri.  It's such a waste of money, but whatever.  I'm doing what I'm told, but I don't have to be happy about it.  I hope I get zero claims!

The only positive is I'm hoping to go out with Clint on Saturday night.  He's got plans with another friend, but said I could come too.   Clint's working in Baltimore with my friend Colleen and they are at the same hotel.  If my mood doesn't change I'm not going, I'll be a total buzz kill.  Here's hoping I'll feel better and it doesn't turn into a huge ordeal.  He knows I like simple outings, but they are already talking downtown Baltimore.  Guess it's a good thing I bought the new boots.
