Sore Sunday

Super Twins!

• Today has not been a great day.  Woke up with a headache, took Advil, fell asleep and overslept.  Thank goodness for texting and friends who are very forgiving!
• I rushed out the door and had a great brunch with Kati.  We've been friends since we were paired as freshman year college roommates and I think we will always be friends.
• I came home with great intentions of getting a lot done today.  I started to take out the pieces of my new IKEA storage unit; and a smaller piece fell corner first onto my head causing me to gush blood and get a slight concussion.
• So I still got my units assembled, laundry done, meatballs and homemade sauce made, nails done, and bath stuff packed.  I wanted to get some crafty stuffs done, but that didn't happen.
• Talked to my man as I was doing my nails and he could not stop laughing that I had concussed myself.  So supportive, especially since he called me 5 hours after I had done it.  He was out fishing so I'm giving him a little bit of slack.  I told him tomorrow he's waiting on me!
• Now it's time to try and rest, I've taken some Advil, again, and I'm hoping I feel better in the morning.  If not it's gonna be another long day.

• Failed my exam yesterday, cried for 2 hours and still feel like crap about it.  Not sure what I do from here but I'm just over it!
• 10" of snow fell yesterday.  It's so nasty out but that didn't prevent me from going up to my parents house for some family time.
• Boo is hilarious.  She couldn't wait for Grumpka to take her outside.  She came in said hi, gave me a hug and asked me to put her snow pants on.  Gramma totally got snubbed!  
• Because I haven't seen Boo in a couple weeks she had to show me all kinds of things.  My favorite was her going through her momma's purse and yelling "aunt Bibbie, LOOK!"  The last time she asked me, she had a handful of tampons.  That kid is too much.  As my sister was reassembling her purse, she found her insurance card in my my mom's crockpot, inside the cupboard.  That kid is sneaky!
• I had a moment of clarity on my way home from my parent's house, I'm going to upgrade my man and I's tickets to Vegas.  Now I need to wait until next week when the airline isn't up in arms over canceled flights.  I hope I have enough points to get us first class, preferably on the way home.  By that point I'm done with people and don't want to be touched!
• Tomorrow Sissy and I are going to Hobby Lobby and to check out Costco.  We are so wild and crazy!

Taking it all in

• I've mentioned my man in 2 posts, one about V-day the other about our upcoming vacation.  I think that's more than enough.  Heck we aren't even friends on FB
• Last night just continued my awesome time with my man.  He made me bacon cheeseburgers while I matched his dress socks.  Domesticated bliss right there.  His brother called while we were chilling out and he openly stated that he'd spent the weekend with me and that I was his Valentine.  I could hear his brother stuttering, not quite sure how to process that information.  I fear he's got a long weekend of harassment coming up and possibly some inquiries about me.
• After having a severe case of the blues after my man left on Sunday and again this morning on my drive home, I'm guessing it's safe to say this could be the big L.  It's scary but growing on me.
• I put all my man's new bedding on last night and it is glorious.  I am going to be buying myself some of those sheets they are so nice!  Bad part is I still had weird dreams.  I dreamt about him and it was so real.  I know I woke up and reached out for him but still couldn't tell if it was a dream or not.  He had a good laugh when I told him this morning.
• OH and I'm super spoiled, we had to set an alarm this morning and he set it early enough that I got some loving and coffee in bed!
• In non-lover related news I got my test sorted out.  I have to pay for it again, and will be testing on Thursday afternoon.  I easily passed a practice exam with no studying this afternoon.  Tonight I reviewed the 1st 5 chapters and plan to get the last 6 in tomorrow.  I've really got to focus tomorrow.
• Having to take this exam is really putting a crimp in my social activities.  I cancelled 2 nights of dinner plans and wanted to see all my kiddos, but that may have to wait until the weekend.  And of course I wanted to get in some shopping as the Hobby Lobby is now open.  Guess that will wait until after I take my exam.  It'll be a sad or a happy shopping spree.

• Valentine's Night was awesome.  We had an incredible dinner followed by an awesome night in.  I didn't get any presents and to be honest I'm really ok with it.  I thought I was going to be all sad and mopey but I wasn't.  He was far too sweet and sincere in explaining why.
• Yesterday we booked our Vegas vacation.  In 4 weeks I'll be in my 2nd favorite place on the planet with my number 1 most favorite man.  He's never been, so I get to play tour guide.
• Today has been a big case of the lazies.  We managed a trip to Menard's and he's installing some new fan/light switches for me.  Up next, insulation in the bathroom wall so no more freezing pipes and watching some movies.  I re-installed my wireless dongle to the TV so it's all about streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime.
• I did have a breakthrough moment yesterday and told him how special he is to me.  I'm not big on all the feels or expressing them, so this was huge.  It's nice that he expressed them as well so def on the same page here.
• Today we talked about some far off in the future plans, which led to discussing yard work, which led me into a tangent about me having issues with my dad and being punished with picking up sticks.  He just laughed, held my hand, and promised me I don't ever have to pick up sticks.
• Now it's time to start dinner, well time for him to start dinner.  We picked up some wings from B-Dubs to have with our frozen pizza.  When he cooks we get all kinds of fancy.

• Today started out well, went downhill when I failed my test and realized it might be an error in my registration and ended on a high note.
• Waking up next to my man is always the best way to start my day.  I like cuddles and kisses before we even talk.  It's intimate and a nice way to connect.  I'm not one for all the feels, but he makes it ok.
• I took my exam and failed.  It wasn't until I was on question 70 that I realized my exam only had 75 questions not the 85 I was expecting.  I'm not sure if I registered wrong or if they gave me the wrong test.  Either way I have to register again, make sure it's correct and try again next week.
• Currently I've spent $1500 taking this 1 exam and not being successful.  I have a hard time justifying the expense when it's not related one tiny bit to my job.  I've vented this before and I need to again because I'm super discouraged.  Clint got the right test and passed, so I really think I will too when I get the right exam.
• My flowers came shortly after I got home from the exam and turned my mood around.  It's a nice reminder of how important I am to someone else and that he matters more than my job.  Family is the most important part of my life, not this job.
• This evening I've been baking, which always cheers me up.  I'm testing out a Little Debbie knock off recipe for the man.  I really hope they turn out well, because they are a little bit of work!

• Hope everyone had as great a weekend as I did.  Mine flew by!
• Friday got my hair did, had lunch with Sue and chilled out with my BF.
• Saturday more laziness on the couch, then a quick stop at my parent's house before hitting my man's house.
• Cleaning, oh so much cleaning, and organizing, and getting rid of all the icky bad ex-wife juju. It took us 6 hours, but my man's house is finally his.  It's clean, tidy, organized and only his stuff.  It took a trip to goodwill, packing up some extra boxes and moving it all down to the basement bedroom, but his space is all him!
• I actually like being up there now, and I can cook in his kitchen!  I may or may not have set it up identical to mine, but it works for both of us.
• Sunday I got breakfast in bed.  After all of our handwork my man bought a Keurig so I can have coffee at this house and he made me waffles.  He has a fancy waffle maker like at a restaurant and damn if they weren't delish.  Yes I'm spoiled and yes I deserved it after spending 2 hours cleaning his bathroom top to bottom, including a ridiculous amount of scrubbing hard water stains off his shower surround.  I refuse to let it ever get that bad again, even if I'm the one who has to do it!
• I got a fair amount of studying in this weekend too.  Exam is 2 days away and I still have a lot to cover.  I am feeling  much more confident about it this time.  The new study DVD's are really a big help.  I actually feel like I was being taught the information.
• Yesterday was a trip to the dentist which is resulting in me getting a kind of cavity filled on my still baby molar.  Not happy but it's better than having my tooth pulled and getting a denture.
• Last night was back up to my man's house, more studying and making a delicious dinner.  I made Pioneer Woman's hamburger soup.  I highly recommend it, my man and I inhaled it!  We topped ours with chipotle pepper white cheddar cheese.  That extra pop of flavor really made a difference.
• Now it's back to reality and getting some things done around my house.  So far emails have been tackled, bills have been paid and I need to get out the study guides and work a little too. 
• oh and my pipe is frozen in the bathroom again, super fun times to get that thawed back out.  We've had something like 50 straight days with temps being subzero.  OVER IT!
• On my way home I went to the bank, made a return at walmart and got some yummy donuts.  I've accomplished quite a bit this morning!  Maybe I'll take a quick donut and coffee break before I hit my next tasks.

• Went to the ortho today and had to get my permanent retainer glued to all of my bottom teeth.  Said teeth were quite loose and I had broken my retainer anyways.  Now it's time to get a bite guard from my dentist on Monday and hopefully my teeth tighten back up.
• I think I've finally found the greatest crispy treat recipe here.  So good!  I used gel food coloring and no additional flavoring but so good.  I wanted to add some almond extract for a little something extra but I was out.  I'm still not sure how that has happened, I never run out of baking items!
• I'm feeling very domestic lately.  I just made twice baked potatoes for dinner tomorrow, have a new rib recipe to try out as well, and have a Pioneer Woman Hamburger soup recipe on stand by for Saturday night.  It helps having someone else to cook for and who enjoys everything you make.
• Having seen my man every day this week has been amazing.  I feel so much better about our relationship and myself.  I'm looking forward to spending a whole weekend with him.  I'm possibly getting a little too used to waking up to him.  Cuddle time in the morning might possibly be my most favorite thing about he and I, even if it does make him late to work.
• Now it's time to do my nails.  I have on a white polish that peels up after 7 days and annoys the hell out of me!  Gotta go pick out something Valentines appropriate!

• Today was full of awesome deliveries.  I got some new clothes from Lands End, and an Etsy order of some monogram items and my 31 Bag order.  Can we say preppy!?  Now I need my Old Navy order to get here and I'll be all set for my meeting in 3 weeks.
• I officially booked my exam for next Thursday morning.  I have 3 chapters left to watch then bring on the practice tests.
• My man should be here in an hour and I'm so excited.  I don't even care if he falls asleep right away, I just want some cuddles and warmth.  It's -2, again!
• I have some pretty great co-workers.  Especially when I convince one to take and exam with me and the other told me Shamrock shakes are back.  You better believe I got one of those bad boys for dinner.  I ate hummus for lunch, I had the points to spare!
• Powerball is $215 million for tonight.  I bought a ticket since the man and I can't decide who gets to be the sugar baby in this relationship.
• Now it's time for some Nashville!

Make up on Mondays!

• Last night was date night at my man's house.  It went well but it wasn't without some serious discussion
• I can't expect him to read my mind and I told him if he goes 3 days without texting or calling again I'm going to consider him dead.  He laughed until he looked up and saw how dead serious I was being.  He really thought I was overreacting until I thoroughly explained how mad and scared it made me feel
• I'm hoping the was the last weekend he's gone until fishing starts.  I may have to endure 1 more weekend of him being gone, but I know it won't be with the same people or to such a remote location.
• He actually has a plan for our whole week!  Including sleep overs, which house we are at, some cleaning, studying and a little fun too.  I was shocked, but adored how much initiative he's put into this week.  He gets most of the benefits but I'm just happy to be together.
• Last night was a great way to start the week off.  He cooked, let me pick the movie (Sound City by Dave Grohl, 5 stars by this girl) and had cupcakes and mint chip ice cream for dessert.  He really does pay attn to all the random things I say.  Oh and our fun time activities, were super fun.  Sometimes it's nice to make out on the couch for a little bit.
• Today I'm full of doctor appts, but I'm going shopping when I'm done.  I'm going to be sweet to my man and buy all his toiletries for my house.  Make it a little easier for him during the week when he comes to stay.  That's nice right?
• Time for me to get a move on.  Don't want to be late for my OB/GYN appt.

Saturday Night, Date Night

• When your boyfriend is gone 4/5 weekends, you find a date alternative.  
• I had a great dinner with Team Ingram and enjoyed playing with Boo.  She's changed so much in 3 weeks.  She calls me Bibby and is just so lovely!  She's speaking in pretty clear sentences and full of so much adorableness.
• Last night I had dinner with Colleen and it was nice to play catch up.  For the first time ever, we are both in healthy relationships, and spent most of our time talking about our respective men.
• I splurged a whole buncha money on a new Louis Vuitton handbag too.  I can't find a nice photo of it, so when it arrives next week I'll post it.  I'm having it shipped to me from the local store to save nearly $200 in taxes!  Way to go state of MN.
• I should be studying right now, but instead I'm invested in a marathon of Bad Ink!  This show is always amazing.  If I were to ever need a cover up, I'd head to Vegas and pick these guys.
