Happy Birthdays

Today was a whirlwind of a day.  I woke up with a headache and was late to my in-laws.  Yes that's what I call my BFF's family.  I showed up at a good time as everyone was eating and I was able to blend in.  After a little more lake/water time and some failed attempts at naps, presents were opened and cakes were cut.  For a small family it's amazing that 5 birthdays are in July.  But it's also pretty awesome as one party can cover them all, for now at least.

The one thing about the part that stood out was how smart and well behaved the twins are.  Their cousin counterparts are little monsters, but that's partly to the fault of bad parenting.  The oldest cousin is going to be 3 in October and isn't potty trained, not even a little bit.  I found this shocking!  The best is when my BFF's brother was trying to brag about how smart she is and the twins have bypassed her ages ago in smarts and talking.

The highlight of my day was Danyal and I walking down to the beach.  He took my hand and proclaimed me "My Libby."  Yep, I'm his, 100%!  He just melts me heart every time I see him.  He will also sing for me when I ask.  Today I had to ask for the baby bumblebee song.  He enunciates his B's so well that it's just adorable to listen to.  Sara was all about her Daddy today, which is ok.  In true Sara form she ate 3 helpings of ice cream.  That baby girl loves her some ice cream.

The rest of my day was spent trying to get my house back in order.  I've got a list a mile long for things to accomplish next week and an organized office to get them all done in.  Here's hoping I can find some motivation to accomplish them all.  I'm struggling with a 5 day long migraine and lack of sleep still.  It's early to bed for me again tonight, which is ok.  It's not like I have a hot date.  Tomorrow will be another hot but fun day outside.  Two of my friends and myself are heading to Target Field to see the Brothers of the Sun concert.  I've seen Kenny several times and I'm so excited to go this year with Tim McGraw.  I know it'll be one of my top 5 concerts.
