Today just wasn't the best. I made it to the office in plenty of time and had my coffee, but the training was brutal. I so wish I had been able to attend one specific to my current job. Lots of unnecessary discussions and questions were asked. I honestly could have been done 2 hours earlier. Oh well.
After all that I finally left about 1:30 and drove for almost 2 hours, 1 hour back to the hotel another in search of food. Apparently being on the CT border also means being a bedroom community. Very sparce in restaurants, no chains and no gas stations! Tomorrow I'm moving even farther away from the office and officially increasing my drive time in traffic every day. I may be driving at 6 am and doing paperwork from the office parking lot just so I can avoid rush hour and 3 hour drives! So happy this is a limited engagement.
Tonight it was nice to catch up with another friend who left my job back in Aug. He's not super happy with his current job, but agrees it's better than what we were doing. It's all about a give and take. I enjoyed out time catching up and meeting some new coworkers from FL. Oh and the Badgers kicked some Cornhusker butt and advance to the Rosebowl. ON WISCONSIN!
Now it's time for bed, after my 2 hour nap earlier. I have a meeting at 9am, have to check out of the hotel at 11am and find someplace to watch my Packers at 1pm and check in to the new hotel at 3pm! Oh and I have to make appts on my new claims. Ya know, just another day in my crazy crazy life.
