So Friday was a pretty awesome day at the fair. Met up with my friend Sue and overall just had fun. If I remember correctly I ate the following
-A very large Sundrop
-mini donuts
-fried pickles that had cream cheese on the inside
-cheese curds
-an even larger coke
-the worlds best organic macaroons
-ruben bites
-sweet potato tots
-red velvet funnel cake
By far not the most I've ever eaten, nor the least. BUT it was all sooo good. This year I didn't have two of my staples; french fries or cookies. The logic is that the fries are almost identical to those at 5 Guys and the cookies, well you can buy them frozen and make at home. I just didn't feel the need to waste the space on them.
I got some really cute things for BooBoo. She got an alpaca fur teddy bear that she loves if you rub on her face. One of my sis's cats date raped said bear, so it was a winner all around. I also bought her a pink purple and yellow tutu for upcoming family photos and some super cute leggings. We wanted to get her a cheesy air brushed onsie with the fattest unicorn and a rainbow that would end in her name, but they only had newborn sizes. So sad, but we are remaining hopeful we can find her something fun like that to wear with the tutu.
Today my sis and I went shopping at Mall of America. Our day started by chasing down the post man to get her rent check post marked for today. Then I was buying this awesome new hand bag and some Japanese tourists got way tooo close for my comfort. I may or may not have loudly exclaimed I was going to start throwing punches when one of them was practically touching my breast to see what was in the bin ahead of me.
The one thing that really took me back was shopping at the Doc Martens store. I almost got a pair, but I didn't love the white sole they had.
I still plan to look and maybe purchase a pair for this winter. I used to have mary janes and loved them to pieces. Literally pieces!
After the mall it was off to Target for a shop. Got some food finally and had a nice shop. It's always nice to shop at your favorite store at home. We stopped to get the bro in law some KFC on the way home. The guy at the window totally made my day. He greets you with Welcome to Chicken-land USA. Very cute and made me giggle. Now it's off to bed. Meeting a friend downtown MPLS for some brunch tomorrow. Should be good times, we've not seen each other since Christmas and a lot has happened in that time!
Well that, that's just because it's fun to say
