Proud to be a loser

I weighed myself over the weekend and after 2 weeks of craziness I haven't gained an ounce.  I can honestly say I think I'm back on track with eating and knowing a portion size.  It's not easy and it totally sucks but I'm keeping at it.

I have 8 weeks, almost exactly, to family 4th of July vacation.  My sister has a weight goal and a size goal.  I wouldn't be surprised if she's already bought the outfit she wants to be into.  Ideally I'd love to be down 20 lbs by then, but I have to work really hard at it and be better prepared if I leave for work.  I saw some really cute outfits this weekend but I really don't know what size to even attempt to buy.  I'm already down one size on the bottom and my tops fit better.  I'd like to be down 2 pants sizes (and into regular misses sizing) and at least one size down on top.  It's a lofty goal but I have to keep going.

Here's my motivation:
  • I want to wear Victoria's Secret Pink clothes, especially by the time football season rolls around.  The Packers gear last year was soooo cute.
  • I want to buy pants from Old Navy or Target.  I go through work pants fast, so being able to buy off the rack and normal sizing would be great.
  • I want to get into regular bra sizing and not have to pay $40 each.  If I do pay that much it's because it's something special, not because it's the only option I have.
  • I want a super cute new tankini
  • I'm obsessed with the cute multi-colored Nike running shorts.  I'm one size away!
  • I want the "you got hot!" There are tentative plans for me to spend a couple days in Lincoln during my 2 weeks off and I want everyone who hasn't seen me to be able to notice.
  • I want to be able to walk to the high school and back (4+miles round trip) in less than an hour.  I think I need to just start that path and work on my speed and endurance.
  • I want to be able to wear knee high boots.  Even if they are special wide at top ones, they have to be better than the "plus size" options out there.
I think it's time to start reviewing my recipes and stock up the freezer!
