Today was such a good day. Totally renewed my spirit of why I love my job. PS - People of Iowa you are awesome! Everyone I met today was so nice. I hope the rest of the week goes as well. It feels good to be serving a purpose, to know the people I'm helping in the office really appreciate it and the biggest one, OVERTIME! For the first time in 9 yrs I am getting straight time and half, bring on my 80 hour work week.
So today's fun story is this: I was writing an estimate in my van and heard a loud thud. So loud I actually jumped, and started looking around for the car that hit me. Nothing, no kids in the streets, no errants sports balls laying around. I thought maybe a dent had popped out, I didn't know and didn't have time to care. I finished my work and got out to talk to the insured's, when lying on the ground I saw half a koi fish. My best guess is that a bird flying overhead dropped the back half of it's breakfast. I posted the photos on facebook because it's just too odd not to share. The best comment was from a co-worker who commented "Sushi from heaven" I really want to believe it's a sign I find some soon.
